CAL India Has Arrived!

by Juandi

Following the third anniversary of CAL, CSGO2ASIA has announced the launch of a new hub dedicated to Indian players. CAL India officially launches on October 22nd, equipped with separate leaderboards and prizes, as well as two distinct divisions for players to grind their way up.

The release of CSGO2ASIA (CAL) India marks another significant milestone for the South Asian Counter-Strike community, particularly in India, as they will now have a dedicated hub with leaderboards and prizes for each season directly moderated by the CSGO2ASIA League staff. The CAL India server will be housed on FACEIT’s dedicated server in Mumbai, ensuring a consistent low ping for South Asian players in a fair-play environment.

Apart from that, the new hubs of CAL still retain the standard features of 128-tick rate servers, competition rules, obligatory anti-cheat use, and dedicated admin support, together with our custom-built CAL BOT which automatically matches players to voice rooms in the CAL Discord server.

A fresh appearance and a new multi-division structure will distinguish CAL India from the regular hub. CAL India will have players grouped into two divisions based on their skill level: Division 1 and Division 2. To play, users will need to subscribe to CAL for a low fee starting at INR 153.50/month (excl. fees and taxes) – which will give them access to the prizes and leaderboards in all CAL divisions. Payment methods include PayTM, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Direct Banking, and our regular payment methods (PayPal, VISA, and Mastercard)

While CAL India will be focused on India, countries in the South Asia region will eligible to join. Players may choose to play in our regular CAL hubs with servers in Singapore, however, prizes can only be won in a single hub per season.

Division 1 will include players with comparable skill levels, ranging from level 6 to 10, while Division 2 also provides ways for players with intermediate skill levels, ranging from level 1 to 5, looking to grind their way up, improve, and have fun at the same time.

CAL India will start its inaugural season on November 1st, with the pre-season leaderboards beginning on October 22nd. Nonetheless, players may participate in CAL India’s special launch event, which has a total prize pool of 10,000 INR and 200,000 FACEIT points.

Nikhil ”nikH” Hathiramani, Founder and Chief-Editor of CSGO2ASIA, commented: “Since 2018, the league has grown tremendously and we’re fortunate to still be active in CS:GO despite the lack of progression in our region. CAL India has been a long while in the making, and we’re glad that our partners at FACEIT could make it happen, even if it’s come later than everyone expected!”
