PGL Major Antwerp APAC RMR team list finalized

by Juandi

The four teams that will compete at the PGL Major Antwerp APAC RMR have been decided.

The four PGL Major Antwerp APAC RMR Open Qualifiers have come to an end, with all teams that will be competing in Bucharest, Romania, on April 15-16, having been decided. IHC Esports (formerly Checkmate), TYLOO, LVG, and Renegades all secured wins in the grand final of their respective qualifier to book their ticket to the offline APAC Regional Major Ranking event.

Despite the restructuring in the off-season, IHC Esports were able to live up to their status as a rising power in the cutthroat competitive environment of Mongolia.

Meanwhile, the return of Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand to the Chinese powerhouse will supplement TYLOO to regain their footing after a tumultuous run after the Stockholm Major.

After a lengthy stay in Europe, SiKe “z4kr” Zhang’s LVG are considered the tournament’s dark horse and will face APAC teams for the first time since September 2021 next month. The final team to cross the finish line was Renegades, the Australian squad that has been consistently occupied OCE’s top spot, particularly after the collapse of EXTREMUM.
