The 29th season of CAL is currently ongoing, with cash prizes, FACEIT points, and skins to be rewarded to the best performers.
Thanks to our amazing sponsor ZOWIE, seven CAL players won new, state-of-the-art, gaming monitors during Q4 of 2020. All the monitors have been delivered to the winners, and we are certain that playing CS:GO feels a lot smoother for them now!
For our 28th season, the first one of 2021, we were back to “only” offering cash prizes, FACEIT points and skins, but activity levels still stayed healthy throughout most of our divisions, with Masters being the one exception.
CAL Moving Forward
As players ourselves, we know that bigger and better prizes definitely improves the general willingness to grind hard to try to get to the top of the leaderboard. We have been extremely lucky to have had a partner like ZOWIE coming on board for multiple seasons throughout the existence of CAL.
The way that you, our community, can help us show ZOWIE that we really appreciate them supporting CAL is by playing a lot, and liking and sharing our posts.
For now, we are actively working to team up with brands that we believe can bring value to the CAL community.
On another matter, we are still working on a very interesting addition to CAL that we believe is going to improve and expand the league in 2021. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances has delayed the roll-out, but we are still hopeful that the addition can be taken live in Q1 of 2021.
A Word About Masters
As of late, the activity in CAL Masters has been very disappointing. With a large chunk of former Asian CS:GO professionals having switched over to Valorant, our goal for Q1 2021 is to go through the invited player list once again and remove inactive players. We will work closely with a selected group of players in Masters that can help us to identify new talent additions that can bring new life, and skill, to the division.
Finally, a Big Thank You!
We are truly appreciating the support shown from everybody. It’s only by coming together as a community and helping each other that we are able to keep on improving the experience for Asian CS:GO players.

Thank you for everything, ZOWIE!
ZOWIE was founded at the end of 2008. It is a brand dedicated to the development of professional esports equipment. At the time of its debut, there were only three hardworking employees and one product. As there was no “esports” back then, ZOWIE had spent a lot of time gathering, listening, and engaging with competitive gamers/players on the internet, forums, and gaming communities worldwide. That got them into the world of esports.
Fast forward to today, and the BenQ ZOWIE XL series monitors are the most popular gaming monitors to professional gamers around and adopted by world-class tournament organizers globally. It’s not because of the latest technology, or the cheapest price. It was all because of the product’s meticulous design approach, with real player’s insight, development, and testing.
