TIGER announces the addition of neuz

by Juandi

TIGER have announced that they have secured the services of Uuganbayar “neuz” Nyam-Otgon from The Black Company. This will be the second time the young Mongolian player joins the roster.

The 21-year-old joins by far the highest-ranked team in Mongolia, replacing Sodbileg “cool4st” Batbaatar, who has been released from the organization starting from January 26. During his three-month stint, cool4st helped the team to achieve several satisfying results for TIGER, such as winner at ESEA Season 35 Open APAC, and runner-ups at DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 – Asia as well as FunSpark Rivals Pre-Season.

The move sees neuz end a year-long tenure with team Mazaalai, which was acquired by The Black Company (TBC) in late December of 2020. As TBC, neuz and co. reached several domestic runner-up positions, most notably placing runner-up at both Huya DarkHorse League Season 6 and the eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2020 – East Asia division.

In TIGER, neuz will once again link up with Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold and Batbayar “kabal” Bat-Enkh after the trio briefly played together since 2018 under the AUGUST banner that reached the 5th-8th place at eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Asia 2019. neuz parted ways with AUGUST in January 2020, three months prior to the roster acquisition by TIGER. neuz will also reunite with his former teammate in Storm Rider, Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga.

In a translated official statement on Facebook, the organization expressed that this change was “mandatory” for the team. The Mongolian side hopes that neuz’s addition will make the team “more stable to be the best Asian team”.

The 21-year-old’s first game with his new team will be in two days, as TIGER play NG Esports in the group stage of ESEA Season 36 Open APAC. This will be both team’s first big match since their new additions, which will run on January 29 at 17.00 SGT (UTC+8). CSGO2ASIA.com will publish the match information via the new match ticker feature, so come back to check for updates.

With this roster move, TIGER consist of:

  • 🇲🇳 Tuguldur “flyNN” Gansukh (coach)
