FunSpark Rivals Pre-Season announced with US$30,000

FunSpark has announced their newest invitational tournament for 18 Asian teams with more than US$30,000 at stake.

FunSpark Rivals Pre-Season will run from December 14 to January 15 and feature a total of eighteen teams, with two of them advanced to Group Stage phase 2 where they will meet another six teams from the Phase 1 qualifier.

For the first phase, sixteen competing sides will be split into four groups, a single round-robin system, with all matches to be played in a best-of-three format. Each group’s first place will be advance to the playoffs, and the second will play another decider match for the last 2 places for the playoffs, scheduled for December 14-29.

The second phase will run from January 5-15 with the top eight teams split into two double-elimination groups featuring best-of-three series across the matches. Each group’s top two teams will advance to the playoffs, with the two invitation slots for the second phase went to TYLOO and Wings Up from Mainland China.

Finally, the US$30,000 prize pool will be distributed in the following way:

Converted USD prizes are based on the currency exchange rate (taken from Google/Morningstar) on December 7, 2020: ¥1 = 0,15 USD.
