The playoffs for eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2020 Oceania is upon us, taking place in an online environment on December 18-20. The tournament will commence with four invited teams and the other four successfully securing their spots through the open qualifier, which was held last week.

The list of participants features many notable teams from Australia and New Zealand. R!OT, VERTEX, and Downfall Gaming are among the top ten Oceanic rosters that have been invited to compete. R!OT comes as a replacement for Paradox Gaming due to schedule conflicts.

GroupChat, DoMilk, Team SYLYX, and Bizarre made it through to the playoffs after defeating 26 other teams in the open qualifier. Bizarre will be attending its first big event since its formation three weeks prior to winning the open qualifier, accompanied by three other qualified teams.

This year’s edition of eXTREMESLAND differs from previous years, with the tournament divided into five regional plays, including Oceania. This tournament will be one of the closing events for the Oceanic Counter-Strike scene in 2020. Unfortunately, it lacks the presence of the region’s top dogs such as Renegades, ORDER, and AVANT Gaming.
