After eleven days full of action, the Huya DarkHorse League Season 5 has finished, with Lynn Vision Gaming winning the title by defeating JiJieHao in the grand final (16-13 on Dust2, 16-10 on Nuke), securing ¥20,000 (~US$3,047) in the process.
The fifth iteration of the Huya DarkHorse League, which began on November 10, featured 6 teams from East Asian countries trying to grab the lion’s share of ¥30,000 (~US$4,571). Throughout the eight days of the regular season with double round-robin league format played in best-of-one (BO1) matches, all of six teams competed with each other resulting in four teams proceeding onto the playoffs.

In the group stage, the top four teams were able to proceed onto the playoffs. The Chinese side of Lynn Vision led by Heng “EXPRO” Yang came out on top with only losing to TSG and w2c. On the contrary, w2c and TYLOO Female were eliminated in 5th and 6th place, respectively.
For the playoffs, Lynn Vision became the first grand finalist without dropping a single map after beating both TSG and TIGER 2-0. Meanwhile, JiJieHao joined Lynn Vision in the grand final coming from the Lower Bracket after losing to TIGER 0-2 and were able to overcome TSG 2-0 and got revenge on Gan-Erdene “dobu” Batbold‘s side 2-0.

The grand final series began with Dust2 as JiJieHao’s map pick. But unfortunately, they couldn’t secure their map as LVG managed to close out the map 16-13. Nuke which was the second map of the series saw both teams very fierce in terms of the score, with LVG leading 8-7 in the first half. Thanks to Heng “EXPRO” Yang‘s dominance with a 1.62 rating, his team were able to sail smoothly to victory, 16-10, and winning the league all at once.
