Official: NG Esports signs erkaSt

by Juandi

Thailand esports organization NG Esports has officially announced the addition of Mongolian player Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga to their starting roster yesterday. With his arrival, he will become the fourth player of the multinational ‘super team’.

This announcement comes two weeks after our initial report on erkaSt. The Mongolian player will join ImpressioN from Singapore, XigN from South Korea, and cbbk from Thailand.

erkaSt has been regarded as one of Mongolian’s top players, specializing in the rifler department, which will be the 22-year-old’s position on the new team. erkaSt currently holds a 1.13 HLTV rating to this name in 2020 so far. Additionally, with four years of experience playing in several Australian organizations, including Grayhound as a secondary caller, NG Esports will surely get the much-needed guidance in terms of leadership.

The 25-year-old Mongolian talent caught international viewers’ eyes during his time at Grayhound Gaming, where he averaged a 1.20 rating (HLTV) across his two years there. With Grayhound, he attended several major tournaments, including the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals, and came out as the winner and runner-up in Berlin and Katowice Asia Minor 2019 respectively.

In a statement given from NG Esports, erkaSt had the following words to say on the move:

“For the past year since Grayhound, I’ve been playing with and giving my experiences to my fellow Mongolians and the community there as a player. But from today onwards, I’m very excited to call NG Esports a new home and really looking forward to play with my new teammates and the journey ahead of us. Thank you for all your support and especially NG for giving me this opportunity!”

In the official statement, NG Esports pointed out that erkaSt is the key success of many teams he has been in the past. “We believed that erkaSt will be a fine addition to our roster with both his experiences and the exceptional firepower,” they added.

For now, it’s only a matter of time when NG Esports will announce their roster with its fifth player. For now, they already have four rifler players and will likely seek an AWPer to complete their roster.

With the announcement, NG Esports’ roster looks as follows:

  • ?? Anthony “ImpressioN” Lim
  • ?? Hyun-Pyo “XigN” Lee
  • ?? Thotsaphon “cbbk” Suphatthanaphalaphon
  • ?? Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga
  • TBD
