ZIGMA have confirmed the signing of Patiphan “CigaretteS” Posri, which will replace Patcharapon “NIFFY” Junman as the 19-year-old will take an indefinite break from competition.
Patcharapon “NIFFY” Junman has been on the professional scene since 2016 when he was a member of 1st eSports. The true adventure began, though, when he joined Maple Club in 2017. Maple Club remained in the upper echelons of Thai CS:GO for quite some time, but could not escape Signature Gaming’s shadow at the time.
In late 2017, Beyond Esports acquired Maple Club, ushering in a time in which the team began to conquer the local scene, while rivalry from NSPR Gaming and Signature Gaming remained fierce. NIFFY helped Beyond.Maple to a 5th-8th place finish at eXTREMESLAND Asia CS:GO 2017, as well as several domestic trophies and runner-up medals.
After a three-month spell with Beyond.Maple, the team decided to join Lucid Dream, an esports organization backed by Thai construction project service, which began in late 2017. However, Lucid Dream’s results were not as expected and achieved little. After 12 months, Lucid Dream released the squad with the exception of wannafly.
One month after the release, NIFFY and others, including Manutsawat “Reality” Sangphadung, re-joined Maple. Along the way, the organization rebranded a couple of times from Maple Club, Team Maple, and later as ZIGMA. On an international scale, the core has managed to win a number of competitions, including the SEA Fire Championships 2019, the NEX Invitational 2019, and the Asian Legend Challenge League, while also finishing as runners-up in the GeForce Cup Pacific 2019, the WX Winter Invitational 2020, and the NEX Play From Home.

According to Kittidet “Com” Sripued as ZIGMA’s manager, NIFFY will take a break due to personal reasons. Though he has been on hiatus since April, there is no word on when or whether he will return to the roster. “CigaretteS is our primary player now,” he added.
Patiphan “CigaretteS” Posri have taken NIFFY’s place on the active roster now that he has left. The former Signature Gaming player also reunited once again with Reality, RoLEX, and Geniuss who were part of the Signature Gaming roster in 2017-18. Since his arrival in April, he has contributed to ZIGMA’s 2-1 victory over Expendables in ROG Masters APAC 2021.
The Thai squad will be back in action tomorrow against Team NKT (ex-NG) in Hyperion x OEL CS:GO Launch.
