CSGO2ASIA have compiled all the information you need to know for one of the largest tournaments in the Asian CS:GO circuit – ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2018 Asia Finals – which will be held in Shanghai, China from October 18-21.
Fifteen teams from the Asia-Pacific region will duke it out for the lion’s share of the $100,000 USD prize pool. It was revealed last Thursday that Turkish representatives Royal Bandits would not be able to attend the Chinese event due to visa issues. The organizers confirmed that there will be not enough time to find a replacement, and will continue with the current participants.
The current reigning champions are Flash Gaming consisting of former TYLOO duo Yulun “Summer” Cai and YuanZheng “AttackeR” Sheng, who won the 2017 edition. The Chinese side will be defending any potential threats to their throne, with South Korea’s MVP PK and Australia’s Chiefs top contenders for this years trophy.
The teams have been split into the following four groups:

The GSL group stage format will consist of best-of-one opening and winners’ matches on the initial day, followed by best-of-three elimination and decider matches on the second day.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the best-of-three, single-elimination playoffs. All four quarter-final series will take place on Saturday, while the semis and grand final will be held on Sunday.
