Checkmate acquire kabal, nin9 from Renewal; cool4st, hasteka out

The Mongolian organization brought in the duo from Renewal, with Sodbileg “cool4st” Batbaatar and Chinguun “hasteka” Bayarmaa exiting the door. 

As part of the current roster shambles in Mongolia, Checkmate have jumped in to acquire Batbayar “kabal” Bat-Enkh and Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga from Renewal, the organization announced the acquisition on Monday. The aforementioned pair will step into the shoes of Sodbileg “cool4st” Batbaatar and Chinguun “hasteka” Bayarmaa, with the former having already joined The Black Company and the latter being free to seek other options.

Renewal have seen a turbulent finish to 2021. In the team’s most recent outing in the Funspark ULTI 2021 Asia Playoffs #2, Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga did not appear in the starting lineup and was replaced by Tuvshintugs “kani” Erdenebat. Renewal finished 3rd after being ousted by the eventual winner, Checkmate, in the lower bracket final.

The new Mongolian squad will make their debut this week in the eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2021 Playoffs with the likes of Team NKT, TYLOO, and ARAVT. 

With these changes, Checkmate’s roster is as follows:

  • ?? Munkhbold “Techno4K” Sodbayar
  • ?? Batbold “Bart4k” Baatarkhuu
  • ?? Batbayar “kabal” Bat-Enkh
  • ?? Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga
  • ?? Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat (Coach)
