Perfect World Announces Perfect World Asia League (PAL)

by Nikhil Hathiramani

Perfect World has announced the first details about the Asian Regional Major Ranking (RMR) competition that it will host this summer with $100,000 on the line.

The tournament, called Perfect World Asia League (PAL) Summer, will have $100,000 on the line and will feature ten teams, eight of whom were invited after competing in the previous RMR tournament, hosted by ESL.

The last two teams will be determined by an open qualifier for teams from China and for the rest of Asia, with registration already available through the tournament’s official website. Registration is open from today until 16th June 2020.

The middle-east representatives from the ESL One: Road to Rio Asia, Camel Riders, has most recently been picked up by Dubai based, Divine Vendetta.

The PAL Summer 2020, which will run from June 24 through July 19, will see the ten teams face each other in a best-of-three round-robin stage. The top eight sides will then progress to a single-elimination, best-of-three playoff bracket.
