We’re not going to lie, the start of the year for CAL has been slow. And since it’s been a slow start, we don’t have exciting things to write about.
Our Southeast Asian divisions are continuing to experience a lack of activity. Unfortunately, it appears that the current cash prizes are insufficient to attract participants to show up and grind. As former players, we recognize that putting in the effort is more enjoyable when the returns are larger.
e 40th season of CAL was relatively quiet, at least in our Southeast Asian divisions, which saw little to no activity during the month. This comes as no surprise to us; after five months of intense competition with more appealing leaderboard prizes, we’ve returned to where we were half a year ago, with cash and FACEIT points for our top achievers.
CAL’s 39th season was not only the last season of 2021, it was also the last season for the time being with ZOWIE as our official partner. For five months, starting in September 2021, ZOWIE’s support has meant that CAL players have competed for awesome hardware leaderboard prizes. In total, 10 top-notch ZOWIE gaming monitors and multiple ZOWIE EC3-C gaming mice have been won by our best performers over the last five months.
season throughout most of our CAL Divisions, with the exception of SEA Division 3 which once again didn’t see any games played (starting to sound like a broken record here). With that said, we had the most games played in CAL this year in November by quite a huge margin, which can be attributed to the well-received launch of our India Divisions.
The 38th season of CAL is LIVE! The improved CAL, offering five different divisions with two server locations (Singapore and Mumbai), now caters to a larger amount of players within the Asian CS:GO community!

The 34rd season of CAL is live with cash prizes, FACEIT points, and skins up for grabs. In June we asked our CAL community to help us to improve by filling out a questionnaire about their experience in the league. Overall, we were positively surprised to find out that a high percentage of you are happy with the way things currently are.
