Cobx Announces 2019 Cobx Masters for CS:GO

Mumbai hosts the Cobx Masters

A new tournament featuring CS:GO with a grand $100,000 prize pool has just been announced by Cobx. The Cobx Masters will see 6 teams travel to Mumbai, India to duke it out for their share of the prize pool.

The Cobx Masters will run from April 5th until April 7th 2019. Of the 6 participating teams, 2 teams will come from South-East Asia qualifiers with another 2 teams from India qualifiers. Finally, the last 2 teams will be international team invites, although the exact invitees are not yet known.

The prize distribution is as follows, with only the top 4 getting a slice of the $100,000 prize pool:

  1. $60,000
  2. $20,000
  3. $10,000
  4. $10,000

Each of the SEA open qualifiers will be held on February 26th and February 27th 2019 on FACEIT. Two teams from each of the open qualifier will advance to the closed qualifier. After that, they will join four invited teams, which are yet to be revealed. Registration for these qualifiers are open now and can be found at the links below:

Interestingly, ever since Nikhil “forsaken” Kumawat cheating incident in Shanghai, the Indian scene has seen a flurry of activity in investment and opportunities. Above all, the Cobx Masters is a welcome shot-in-the-arm and will certainly help renew interest for the Indian CS:GO scene.
