eXTREMESLAND 2019 Reveal More Details [Updated]

by Nikhil Hathiramani

Registrations are now open for the S.E.A and Japan regional qualifiers. More details will be released soon, but here is what we know so far.

The fourth edition of eXTREMESLAND was revealed last month, with the tournament set to feature numerous online qualifiers and 16 Asian teams competing at the LAN finals in Shanghai, China from November 14th – 18th. CSGO2ASIA is looking forward to this year’s event as media partners for the third year in a row.

Last year’s eXTREMESLAND event was won by MVP PK who took down NASR in the grand final, however, the main talking point of the tournament was the now-infamous incident in which Nikhil “forsaken” Kumawat was caught cheating by the tournament admins.

Similar to previous years, a key focus of the US$ 100,000 event is on developing the CS:GO community in Asia. This year, players can expect this an increase in total countries able to participate in the tournament through local qualifiers, dubbed the “preliminary stage”. This stage has now begun, with further details to be revealed soon.

Format Changes

The organizers have determined six main regions, with several sub-regions broken down into both individual countries as well as groups of countries. Each regional qualifier will feature a LAN closed qualifier, and most, if not all will feature an online open qualifier before their respective regional LAN qualifiers.

Teams from S.E.A, Middle East, South Asia, and Japan may now register. As details are revealed, CSGO2ASIA will continue to update this page, so be sure to check back.
